The scale models range from the first pulling boat purposely built as a life boat for Holyhead in 1828 also a model of the Duke of Northumberland a steam powered jet propelled vessel that was in service at Holyhead from  1892 –1922 

The present day lifeboat station is some 300 yards away from the museum, close to the marina. Once the Trinity House Station. Visitors are always welcome. Please pay a visit to the R.N.L.I. Shop. 

 The museum has recently received on permanent loan the medals and velum's of William Owen Cox of the Holyhead steam life lifeboat the Duke of Northumberland the R.N.L.I. Gold award was given for the rescue of the crew of the S.S. Harold on th 22nd February 1908. The R.N.L.I. Silver award was given for the rescue of twenty men from the rigging of the Barque "Norman Court" on the 30th March 1883.The Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society Silver award was presented for the rescue of the crew of the Barque " Tenby Castle" on 16th January 1890

The Duke of Northumberland comes to the aid of the S.S. Harold 22nd February 1908 off the South Stack. Eleven medals were awarded to the lifeboat crew that day including one gold awarded to the Coxswain, William Owen
