The Holyhead Maritime Museum is an equal opportunities organization. Transport & Location

On site parking for seven cars, a free car park maintained by the local authority some 150 meters away with limited facilities for coaches. There are also parking bays located on the top promenade. A drop off point is located outside the main entrance of the museum for disabled users, there is also one disabled bay for parking.
The Museum is located some 800 meters from the town center. There is no public transport from the town to the museum.

Main Entrance & Reception


No steps to main entrance, double door entry into main entrance, and Bistro. All facilities are on the ground floor.
All corridors are well lit.                                                                                All internal doors will accommodate wheelchair access.

Toilet Facilities. Available for both sexes with one suitable for wheelchair users also with baby changing facility. There is no alarm call system in the disabled toilet.
Bistro.                                                                                                       Easy access for all onto the decking area,with a concrete ramp facility for wheelchair users.
There is an extensive menu that includes catering for the vegetarian.
Museum Shop.                                                                                           The shop has all glass counters, and display units, at a hight that is convenient for wheelchair users,with unimpaired viewing of all goods on sale.                                     
Guided Tours.                                                                                      There is always a tour guide on duty to assist the visitor with any questions, or quires.
The museum's volunteer staff will endeavor to make your visit a most enjoyable one. Please do not hesitate  in approaching any of the staff on duty if you feel you need assistance in any way. Some of the staff speak Welsh.
